Absolutely it does in my opinion. This is the same reason that Bridgestone ball fittings are done this way and you can clearly see a difference in numbers from one ball to the next. Its a good question and one that is overlooked quite a bit.

Default simulator question
So i was thinkng about the distance numbers and shot shape in simulators. how much does the ball you hit in there determine the numbers? wouldnt different balls give different results just like real world scenarios? it's measuring what the ball is doing and all balls do different things off the club face right? sorry if this topic has been posted before i did a quick search but didnt find anything.

That would explain why golf shops always have distance balls when you use the simulator and why I see people come in and are able to crush 300 yard drives when they are shopping for a new driver.

Yup. It's best to bring your own golf balls.

Easy to overlook this detail and I always wonder if folks take in their main golf ball when we see fitting results. Last year one guy insisted I hit pro v's as its the "best ball". Thank goodness for THP.

This is why when I get on the Vector I always bring my own golf balls. You only need a sleeve or two.
