Default Louisiana Get Together
Just wanted to start a thread for any LA golfers that may want to contact other THP members to have a round.

I'm game as I live in New Orleans. A little cooler weather would be nice though.

Tapping Roll Tide Roll all summer long!

I may be game, but I can't this month. It will have to be at least October before I can play. I'm from up north, but I can probably make it down for a round of golf somewhere down there.

Don't worry this doesn't have to be a one time thing

Depending on where everyone is, how far they are willing to drive, and how much they are willing to pay...I know sometimes GolfNow has really good deals on TPC Louisiana. There is Carter Plantation in Springfield, Pelican Point in Gonzales, Santa maria in Baton Rouge...any other ideas?

I'm up north as well. Given my work schedule it might be difficult to get down for any golf in the time remaining this year, but I'd love to try next year.
Where up north are you at?

Any of those are fine. Any particular day of the week works best for everyone's schedule? mines is Tuesday and Sunday unless we plan something in advance

I'm game.
I live 5 minutes from Santa Maria and 15 from Pelican Point.
Weekends definitely work best for me.
Haven't made it out to Carter Plantation yet but would love to.

Since a couple of people have mentioned Carter Plantation I'll ask if anyone knows the future of the course since it is for sale? I know the developers ran into trouble after the economy crash and I saw houses for sale out there marked down 50% to try and unload them with a lot of unsold lots etc...About two months ago in the The Advocate they had an article about an out of state real estate firm being hired to try and sell the property. Until a month ago I lived just a few minutes from the course and I'm not sure they were seeing the traffic on course they wanted either

I play at Carter multiple times per year. I played about a month and a half ago and the course is in great shape again.
Sundays are good for me too

Sunday is great for me! Just let me know end of October gets hard because of hunting season! But I can squeeze a golf outing in.

I'm going to try my best to attend this. I'll be out of town several weekends in October, but hopefully if I'm in town I'll be able to come down and play. Sundays are great for me.

Looks like Carter Plantation is up for sale. Saw this in The Advocate http://theadvocate.com/news/business...d-to-sell.html yesterday.
