I played in one recently that on the par 5's only, after everyone hits a tee shot and you decide which ball your playing, you were split into 2 groups of 2 for the rest of the hole. (they were designated who was who's partner) then you combined the score of both teams for your team score on hole.

Example now par is 10, we combined for a 7 & 8 putting us 5 under for the 2 par 5's. It was different and fun.
