i'm playing in the 36 hole gents open at crieff tomorrow and i'm looking forward to it so muchi'm not much fussed abou tthe competition itself,the handicap limit for the competition was 7 so i've just scraped in and the majority of the players are in and around scratch so i expect the scoring will be low...very low.

i'm just wanting to cut my handicap as much as i can because crieff is well suited to me,well it should be.depends on what i take to the course on that day.as the saying goes "if you don't bring your game to the course you ain't going to find it there".i like crieff because the ss is 1 over but yet the course seems easier than some places i play and their ss is 1 or 2 under

i played crieff for the 1st time 3-4 weeks ago in the gents open(18 hole)and i struggled,the greens were excellent.super slick and i struggled to hole anything from within 5 feet.slight borrows that i just couldn't seebut in the end up i still made buffers so i'm quietly confident that i can make a dent in the handicap this time round especially with 2 rnds to do so.i just hope the weather stays good.

i've got a stableford today at 2pm to get me ready for tomorrow but i'll report back when i get home hopefully with good news......tee off is 9.20am & 2.20pm.

that's me finally in the door after playing the 36 holes,it's been a long day.the weather held out,it was very windy though.last year it was cancelled because about 3 or 4 tree's fell over and i thought the same was going to happen today.

now for the golf,i got off to an excellent start with 4 straight pars before i decided to make an arse of it i was about 50yrds short of the par 5 5th in 2 and looking good for my 5th straight par at the worst.instead i decided to play one of those extremely right shots which we should never speak of and made a double bogey 7 i then 3 putted the 10th from 10ft and made double at the 15th.i finished up with a 79(8 over)but with the css going upto 74 i ended up 2 under so down to 6.6!!!

in the afternoon i played like a eejit,i couldn't putt,i couldn't drive the ball at all.i was all over the place.i even hit the clubhouse on the 18th amazingly the ball came back into play and i finsished with a 4.so up .1 to 6.7!!!

as usual i could of been so much better,so much to work on.
