Yes. I taught my wife to play before we were married. After an Ireland trip in 1996 we had our daughter, and she didn't play until my daughter was about nine. Now they both play, my daughter is 14, and we play as a family a lot. It's tripled my time on the course and my life is the best it's ever been.

I've had plenty of me time in my life.

I would give anything if my wife would play. She can not stand it, and does not understand why I love it. Sometimes it's very frustrating, because she thinks I should not play as much as I do, a total of about 1 round a week. Maybe one day she will understand that I love it, and not bother me so much about it. I'm not saying she is a bad evil wife, because she is not, but she is not to fond of my golfing.

My wife is beginning to take up the game and I'm lovin it, she's already talking about going to Hawaii and Banff to play next year, hell as long as she picks the destinations where I can fish too, I'll play with her any day.

Plus, she really is my best friend.

My wife does not even want to try. She has no issues with me playing on a regular basis and she also has no issues with me getting the kids into golf.

My wife does not play. She has walked with me a couple times though and LOVES that. All in all she likes being outdoors but the game itself she's not interested in learning. She doesn't mind watching on TV though so all is good!

It is really nice to share a common interest but we definitely like our time playing with others too. If we played together all the time, we would probably kill each other. We usually play together once or twice a week. He plays with a group of guys most Saturdays and Sundays. I agree that we all need our "guy" and "girl" time but we also like to just spontaneously go to the course (or Florida ha ha) for a quick round together.

my wife and I do the same thing. we get out 1-2 x/week after work for 9 holes, and then play every sunday morning. me with the guys and her with the girls. we take the clubs on vacations and play together

My wife is the one who got me into golf. She had to take the '10 season off becasue she had a bun in her oven. So she has had a hard time coming back. That and she's 5' even. Clubs aren't made fore ladies that height. She has yet to express interest in having clubs custom fit for her.

Ok, I can't lie, I would love it if Liz played once or twice a month. It might be different if she worked all the time, but being off all summer, ..... What can I say?

Not married yet but when the time comes, she'll be interested in learning/playing golf or it won't happen.
