Just found out this guy was the pro at the country club I belonged to as a kid and I actually met him 2 or 3 times in years after he had left.

Small world. Too bad I didn't get any lessons I could have had a lot more enjoyable career!

Haha. Andy Plummer(stack and tilt) used to be the head of instruction at the course I work at now. I've only met him 2 or 3 times in the time he has been back here.

It is a small world!

I met Tom Watson in a drug store about 20 years ago.

That's hilarious about Butch. Yeah nobody even remotely famous or immensely talented ever really comes around this area. Pretty lame if you ask me, they don't know what they're missing.

Same with here, especially for golf. Hell we don't even have a club fitter anywhere closer than Chicago. Thats about 3 hours away. Thats why I found it so amusing.

I was driving through Georgia once just before the Masters and we stopped at a rest stop. I peed next to Davis Love III. I didn't say anything to him because that would have just been awkward to start getting all excited and talking to him as we both relieved ourselves, lol.

Well there's his problem then. You're supposed to go SOUTH for the winter!

I have no cool stories like that. Jerry Pate designed like half the courses around here though.

A couple years ago I saw Bart Starr at the Rocky Rococo's in Wauwatosa, WI. He and his wife were having the salad bar. I thought that was pretty cool, so I called an old buddy of mine and told him where I saw Bart. He told me he once saw Bart Starr and his wife in Depere, WI at a Rocky Rococo's having the salad bar. Like 25 years earlier.

Bart Starr must love the salad bar at Rocky Rococo's.

Oh, man. They should kick your ass out of Alabama. You better cure your ignorance quickly, or they might.

As you should. Rocky's is a local pan pizza chain. Bart Starr is the man.

Bart Starr won the first two Super Bowls and was MVP in both of them.

I don't have a clue about Rocky Rococo's.

Correction, University of Alabama grad Bart Starr won 5 championships in 7 years as QB of the greatest franchise in all of sports. In that first Super Bowl he kicked the crap out those AFL pansies from Kansas City. hehehe.
