Default 5 Man Scramble Dream Team!!
You have a to play in a 5 man scramble. The rules are simple. Pick any 4 ppl in history (past or present) to play with you. Your team wins and you win $50,000,000.00. Who's your team to help bring home the money? The course is a random drawing of all the courses that have ever hosted a major. The course will be selected once you have made your team. Who you picking and why??

Jack Nicholas
Pre-crash Tiger
Gary Player
Seve B.

I think I would have a pretty good chance at winning with those guys. I can't imagine a situation that they could not get out of.

Myself
Tiger (circa 2000-01) - for all around game
Camilo - because he is fun to play with and can flat out bomb it off the tee when given the opportunity
Ben Crenshaw - for putting
Lee Trevino - for creativity and comic relief

First, I don't think that I would need a person like Seve to "get out of situations" or a Phil for his mastery around the greens. If I, along with 4 professionals, cannot hit a fairway or green in 5 shots respectively, then that is pretty lame in and of itself. So here is my team:

1) Me... because I am awesome.
2) Bubba Watson... to be the long driver of the group, that still has a decent chance to hit the fairway.
3) Calvin Peete ('81-'90)... because he was always the best at hitting the fairway from the tee. He is the "safety driver".
4) Fred Couples ('94-'97)... because he was always the best at hitting the green from the fairway.
5) Brad Faxon ('95-'00)...because he was ranked very high in putting and was typically near the top in the stat of average distance per made putt.

Dustin Johnson - can bomb it and putt
Tiger - pre-crash - clutch putter
Steve Stricker - is there anyone better from 100 yards and in?
David Toms - always near the top for GIRs and Fairways hit, plus a good putter

Dustin Johnson (Hammers it and can hit the fairway)
Seve (Creative as hell)
Tiger (Pre-crash, which is almost as legal as me picking Paddy from that stretch where he won the Open and the PGA )
Sam Snead (Never a better ball-striker)
Jack Nicklaus (Should probably include the best golfer to live)

Oh and Bagger Vance as the group caddy.

Well, here is my would be team...

Jack Nicklaus- He's one of the best... him at his peak.
Phil- He has to be one of the best short game players of all time.
Bubba Watson- It's hard to find anyone that is that long, and can actually get on the fairways
Tiger Woods from his prime years- Simply because he won everything there was to win... does not suck to have a player that in his prime puts everyone to shame, and just his presence is enough to cause others to crumble.

Wow, can't believe I'm the first to take
-Bobby Jones in his prime - as dominant as Tiger perhaps?
Then pretty standard stuff,
-Jack in his late 20's
-Tiger circa 2000-2002

Can you imagine the burning competitive desire among them to be closest to the pin? I'm thinking even *I* can make those putts lol. But just in case, it is a 5 man scramble, I'll take
-Ben Crenshaw, say around 30 yrs old.

I'm thinking on a par 72 we come -22 or better, birdie all the 3's and 4's and eagle the 5's, with maybe the odd eagle on a driveable 4. We have all the distance (Tiger) and control (Jack and Bobby) we need, heck I can put one 225 in the middle on demand so I'll hit last.
