It depends on the ball. With a premium ball I would consider myself a med-high spin ball player.
I am the same I have more spin with a premium ball compared to a mid priced ball. I was playing few weeks ago with a callaway tour ix and I spun a 9i back about 15 feet and I have never spun a ball like that before. It was cool but I would rather the ball hit the green and hop and stop than spin back 10+ feet.

Seth I'm a high spin player. At my Callaway fitting I found out I really hit down on the ball.. Every shot including the driver which isnt good. I don't back golf balls up though so I don't know.

Are you trying to fix your driver? It seems that hitting down on the ball would be a good thing with every other club right?

I don't know if I really want to mess with it. I still get pretty good dispersion and distance but the only problem is if I'm slicing, I'm OOB. Doesn't happen often but it sucks when it does.

I just don't want to have different swings for different clubs, but I have no idea what to do you know? My instructor just wanted to change my driver swing and I'mnot sure if that's something I can do and be successful.

I understand man. I go through that as well. It is a hard thing when you know you should make a change, but are not getting bad results with the flawed swing and don't want to go through the learning curve yet again. I have that battle with myself every time I go through a lesson.

It's always a give and take haha. From what I've seen though you really put the time in and it's paying off for sure.

I'm not a high spin player... I'm more of a sweeper and with my wedges I really don't try to go more the what I feel is a 3/4 swing. I'm typically w/i a few feet of my pitch mark. On front pins I might swing a little harder and get a little steeper, but rarely 'need' to do it if I have a good yardage.

With my driver I am pretty low spin. With my irons/wedges I am medium-to-high spin. Last season I started learning how to reduce spin with my wedges and has helped, but I am still desparately trying to get the hang of that shot.

I would consider myself a mid spin player. Most of my shots 7-pw hit, bounce and come back to about a foot or two from their landing zone. From a tee I can back up a PW and SW a few feet. I like to send it to the hole and have it come to rest within a couple feet of their landing.

With my driver and long irons, I have slight sidespin which leads to a fade with the drive, and draw with the irons.

With my short irons and wedges, I'm a moderate spin player. With full shots off the fairway I can get the ball to stop with my irons, and back up a little with my wedges. I started using Vokeys (non-CC) and my spin is right where I want it now (enough to stop with full shots, and one/two hop with pitches)
