We just joined a club so I can't say just yet but I have a feeling being a club member will have us both playing a lot more. It certainly will have us practicing a lot more.

Mine is $108 plus $15 cart, Free walking AND they store my push cart. From a $$$ standpoint, I come out $700 ahead at just one round a week for the year.

I joined a club 6 years ago and I play 50-60 rounds a year, even with two little ones at home. I'd play even more if the course was closer to my home or work, but the distance doesn't allow me to get 9 holes in after work. Prior to joining a club, I was lucky if I played 20-25 rounds a year.

I joined my current club when I retired from work. The first full year I recorded 299 18 hole rounds. My wife says that I have the lowest cost per round of any of the members. There is no additional fee to walk, $15 to ride. I walk.

I'm not a club member so I have a question for those that are. Do you get tired of playing the same course over and over?
I know I get tired of the 1 course I play regularly after a few rounds in a row...
I would think that a club with 2 or more courses would be ideal. Probably more expensive though.

thought I would but not really.

Ive played mos tthe courses in the area, so I would be playing them all again at some point

and my rounds are MUCH faster, no more 5.5-6 hour rounds at a private club

I do not. Cordova plays very differently from each of the three Men's Tees. The Whites are iron friendly. The Blue tees force you to choose. The back tees give me little alternative to driver. The catch being, that Cordova is a snug course that requires the ball to work both ways.
And as mikedean441 said: 3.5 hours walking(before work) in the 100* heat Friday is way better than 4.5 - 6 at the next nearest courses.

I am a member/staff member at my local 9 hole course. I will admit that it does get a little boring playing the same course over and over, but if you throw a couple of friends into the mix then it isn't bad at all. I play every day but Monday most of the time. On the weekend a group of us will go and play another course in the area, but our membership fee includes cart fees and all the range balls you can hit, so for 100 bucks a month I can play all day everyday. I think it beats paying $50 to play an okay course 1 time.

FYI> I live in the middle of nowhere in a COUNTY in GA that has only 8,000 residents. So golf here at the local course it CHEAP. 1hr drive to 10 courses that are in a lot better shape, but cost WAY more.
