Almost everything around here is Bermuda, I find the hardest shots are out of the thicker rough. As others have said if the ball is sitting up, it's really easy to slide the club right under the ball and hit high knuckleball floaters that go nowhere....find a similar lie nearby and take full practice swings to see if the club glides through or gets grabbed.

Thanks for the tips in this thread from everyone. I'm heading down to FL in a week and if I'm not mistaken it's just about all bermuda grass right?
The majority of courses I've played in FL are mostly bermuda, though you often get greens that are hybrid grasses depending on how close to the ocean the course is, how much rain or sun they get, etc. Tiff-Eagle is a popular option around here, but it rolls and grains similar to straight Bermuda.
