Default Tracking your golf Index
The group I play with we use the OOB index to make things equitable. We play a variety of formats and keep the dollar amount low. Usually, 2 dollar Nassau or for drinks at the turn. Would be interested in hearing what service/software do folks use.

1) What service do you use? GHIN, OOB, Fairway Files, other?
2) What do like/dislike about the service?
3) For those that maintain accounts w/ different places, which do you think is the best?

In Indiana we use Blue Golf which is the official system through the Indiana Section of the PGA. This replaced GHIN for most Indiana clubs in 2010. The BG is very good with a ton of options, but I think you only get it by being a active member of a golf club. To play in all handicap events at my home course, and other course's in the area, as well as state events, you must have an official index.

Yep, we use GHIN too, no complaints. Never used any other system, so don't know what if anything could be done to improve it. I'm a CPA and therefore a numbers geek and the handicap calculation is clearly laid out with no mystery.

There is another player in the club with the same name and he posted some rounds to my account by mistake. Had to go to the club handicap committee to get it corrected - couldn't correct it myself - which I guess is a good thing to keep everyone honest. Since I'm older I'm in the system as "Mr. BASDawg" now, so he knows which account is his.

GHIN through my golf course. It is a necessity for playing tournaments and other events around the area and around the state.

+1, I have been using it this year and I like that it tracks stats for me too.
