Drink plenty of water and don't be hungry. Even just a little hunger can ruin your whole round and day.

I eat one banana and one protein bar (30g of protein) on the front 9, another protein bar on the back. Also, drink nothing but water. I've done this pretty consistently over the last 10 rounds or so and have noticed my energy levels to remain constant.

I always fill my bag with some bananas, apples, small bottles of water, and to compensate all the healthy stuff, a snickers candy bar

Snickers is about the only thing I will buy from the beer cart. My theory is that it doesn't matter what you eat but how much so as long as I am not eating 3 or 4 Snickers a day I am fine with it. Nature Valley bars too forgot about those. I would be worried a banana would just get smashed when I tossed the bag in the trunk.

Amino Vital, and I'm starting to use Nuun tablets in water instead of sports drinks with all the corn syrup

These are all greats tips, thank you!

I am in pretty good shape and a young 27 yrs old so I dont think that is the problem. I am going to stock up on some granola bars and water for next weekends rounds. THanks Again.

Just make sure that you wash all that health food down with at least a six pack of Bud Light. LOL

Lots of good suggestions in here. I brought along fruit last year during my rounds, and it definitely helped. I always have water with me during the summer. I sweat like a hog so I have to have it or I fall over

Water, water, and more water. In the heat and humidity of mid-summer I can go through a 16 oz. water every other hole. I try to mix in a protein bar at the turn (or a sugar-free bar like a Glucerna bar) and I'm usually pretty good.

Good luck on your 36 holes/day golf next weekend.

If I read this right and you drive 9 holes and are worn out, maybe some heavy trips to the driving range would help you out a bit. Simulate playing 9 holes on the range, hit driver, 7 iron and wedge and so on until you have hit 40 balls, take 5 minutes and start over again. This will at least adjust your body to making a lot of swings in a "short" period of time.
