Default My Bridgestone Fitting numbers
dunno really if these are good or bad but here they are. watcha think? I was fitted with E5 but have been playing E6 for a bit and I really like the E6. and it the E6 comes in orange and green.

Swing Speed: 94.4 mph
Ball Speed: 122.6 mph
Launch Angle: 14.6 degree
Back Spin: 4,690 rpm
Distance Gained: 10.0 yards

any input is appreciated. seems to me that I'm getting killed by the back spin. how do I improve on this?

do you have your carry distance? If you are gaining 10 yards over the other balls that you play, then I say stick with the E5. If you really want an orange or yellow(green) ball and don't mind the distance you are giving up, then go ahead with the E6. I think the backspin could be mitigated with a driver shaft fitting, but I don't know much in that area.

Isn't the E5 supposed to increase hieght on ball flight? I assume they do this by increasing spin.

What is your miss? Slice/fade? Open club face increases spin.

The supertri is a high spin head. You could try a shaft swap but your launch angle might be affected by that.

Edit: I remember watching a video a while back when the spin rate could get lowered by messing around with the weights, but that just opens up another can of worms.

You can lower spin by moving the center of gravity forward in the supertri head. do this by putting heavier weights on the L and R with the lighter weight in the center

What is it that you like about the E5? if the ball is working for you, why change. Put the E6 in play and then let us know your thoughts. I am interested to know..

Except for the spin rate, the numbers all look good.

I think my main issue is I try to lift the ball when hitting the driver, instead of just having the ball in the way of my swing. does that make sense? hopefully, in the next few months after a few more lessons, practice rounds, and range sessions, I can get better at ball striking.

btw, I actually didn't bring my SuperTri during the ball fitting. I hit a Bridgestone driver (10 degrees) with stock shaft, I think. next time, I will bring my driver. it was a last minute thing. didn't know Bridgestone would be in the area. just happened to look on their site.

also, do you guys think the Burner 09 would be a better driver for me, instead of the SuperTri?

I'm confused. LoL

I'm already gaming the E6 and was fitted for E5. last year, I was fitted for E6. this time around, I was fitted for E5.

one more question.... I bought 6 boxes of Burner TP since they were only $9.99 per box. are these comparable to E6 when it comes to compression? I also have left over Z Star Yellows which I like when it's really firm. I know I can get the B-330 RX now in yellow so that's awesome!

Just a suggestion but try moving the ball back in your stance and sweep the ball off the tee - the ball should be to the inside of your left heel an inch or so. If your avatar is a picture of your setup the ball is too far forward in that picture and your shoulders and hips are open aiming left while your feet are aimed at the target, that is a recipe for a high left to right shot. The ball will make a difference but from that setup any ball is going to go too high and spin too much.

my avatar was taken in an angle so it does look funny. haha. I was more concern about getting the outfit more than the set up. LoL

I do have the ball at the spot mentioned above. Thanks for the input though. anything helps.

Your ballspeed could also improve a good bit. The ideal smash factor of 1.5 would put you at 141 mph of ball speed, something more realistic like a smash factor of 1.45 would put you at 137 mph. Of course, the main way to improve that stat is work on your swing and hit the ball in the center of the clubface.

I agree. Also the swing appears to be a little steep with those spin numbers.

^ Agree with the ball speed comment. Maybe you weren't nailing the sweet spot of the driver you were using.
