Default Your favorite hole at your course?
What is your favorite hole at your home course? If you don't have a home course, what is the favorite out of your local courses.

My favorite is #6 at Forest Heights Country Club. It's just a little par 3 over a pond that fronts the entire green. A bunker protects any right pin location. The green slopes in the front, so any front pin location can be a birdie chance, or a spinner back into the water. But the danger isn't just in front, it also is in the back, as anything over the green is basically an automatic 4. Pitch shots can even roll back into the pond. I just love the wonderful look of this hole. It can be an easy birdie, or a blowup hole. Just depends on how you play it.

It is probably the 1st hole at my home course, it is a par 5 dogleg left that you must hit the tee shot 220 and no longer than 260. You will be blocked by trees on the left to prevent you from laying up to the proper area if you are short and you will be OB if you are long. The green is guarded by a lake in front so you must lay up so your approach is about 130 to the green, if you get any closer to the lake you have a down hill lie, going for 2 is not an option as the layup is about 180. There is a bunker guarding the front right side of the green that is in play also. Really big hitters are able to bomb over the trees on the left and then go for the green in 2, but you must be a really big hitter.

Hole 2:

Think it measures around 397 and it dead straight with bunkers and woods lining the right and a large tree on the left hand side. Usually I have a PW in and is just an all around fun hole. I've recorded the most birds on that one.

or Hole 6: 367 Yards

Sounds like a great challanging holeam

My favorite is the first hole of our club. Par 5, tall evergreen sit middle left, but wide right works fine. However a good drive leaves me 230 or so to the green and the fairway has a funnel effect from the trees last 150 yds, so hard to lay up. Best play after the drive is a lay to that 150 and go in, but I always have to go for it.

I average a six, lol.

At my home course it would probably be 14th it is a very tricky 500 yard par 5 that you can go for in two, but there is a lot of trouble if you do. It can be an easy birdie hole if played right, or you can easily walk away with a 10, I love risk reward holes.

Yep---My course the Castle Course at Northern Bay has 7 replica holes. The 11th hole is a copy of the 13th at Augusta. Par 5 dogleg left. The tall yellow pines are missing however the mock up of Rae's Creek, the Azaleas etc is spot on. I've gone from double bogey to eagle and everything in between. A pleasure each time I play it.

The 10th hole (same course) is the island hole par 3 17th at Sawgrass. When the pin is back far right (championship Sunday) it is a very tough hole.

Have 2 holes, both are the starting holes for those 9s. First is a par 5 dogleg right and if I cut the corner on the drive perfect I only have a 9i left. The other is a par 4 with the green just to the right. From the blue tees I can put 3w on the green, from the blacks driver. Made eagles on these holes multiple times.

#4 at Emeraly Valley Golf Course. Medium length par 4, with a hard back to front green. In the summer, if you're above the hole, good luck keeping your ball on the green. and if your short of the grean you have to make sure you get your ball onto the flat spots on the green or your ball will be coming right back at you.

My favorite hole on my home course (White Pines, Swanton Ohio). I would have to say hole #15. It's a par 5 with a huge dog leg left. There are some big hills on the right side of the fairway all the way up to the dog leg. On the other side of the hills there is a creek about 15ft wide. So if you hit the hills, lost ball! Up the left side there are woods. About 230 yards out is the dog leg. From the dog leg you have about 210 from the middle of the fairway (middle of woods to creek). Left side of fairway after dog leg is a few hills with woods on the side of them. On right side are 2 huge ponds with a bunch of bullfrogs!!! I mean absolutely huge bullfrogs! I bet there are 1000 of them between both ponds. Cat tails all around the ponds too. Just before the green, there is a valley about 20ft around that used to be a sand pit that they filled in. to the left of the valley there is about a 6ft wide stretch of fairway leading to the green and the a little mound with tall rough on it. Then there is another 6ft wide stretch of fairway the rough that goes down a little grade. The green is a two tier, with the front and right side being the low part and the the back and left being the high tier with a long slope and a ridge. I mainly love the holes because of the bullfrogs!! I'm Jeremiah The Bullfrog sooo.... LOL Just kidding it's a great hole!

How come it is easier to name my nemesis hole than my favorite hole?! I am thinking about this one...

Number 3, something about standing on the island tee box makes me smile. I always play the hole well since its only 330 yards...

7th hole at my course. Slightly downhill par 4, about 420. Trees to the right, range to the left. You have to land the ball below the hole otherwise the putt will go at about 200fps. Crazy, but I love it.

My favorite is #17. 500 yard par 5 with an elevated tee....about 50 feet. Two creeks to hit over, one from the tee and the second on approach. The fairway narrows to about 20 yards at the landing area. However, with a good drive it's easily reachable in two. Eagles don't happen to easily with a gentle three tiered green!

Number 15 at the Links at Novadell(novadell.com), par 5, dogleg left, if you can get your drive to a really good spot, you can make the green in 2, have done it a couple of times, have also chipped in from birdie from 60 yards out after getting out of trouble in the high grass between 15 and 11 fairway.

My favorite is #11 at Dalton G&CC. It is a par 4 with a sharp dogleg left. Most people hit at a large pine in the middle of the dogleg about 220 off the tee and 170 from the green. Being a lefty hooker, this play usually leaves me 200+ to the green. I usually cut the corner over very large trees left which is a bit risky but the possible reward is a 100 yard pitch to the green. The front of the green is severely sloped, the back right and back left are very difficult to get close to. It is probably the most 4-putted green on the course when the pen is in the back corners. This is a true risk/reward hole with a huge evil green.
