My goal is to achieve the mental toughness that I have had in past years. On two occasions this year I found myself in that old familiar "zone" where everything seemed to work well and emotion was not in the mix. I would like to see that state be a regular part of my game this year.
I could use that in certain aspects of my game!!

GIR and short game. My putting hurt almost all year. If I can forget about keeping up with everyone off the tee box and concentrate on staying out of trouble I should get to that 10 hc this year. Who know's maybe the new iron's will help?

2009 was a great year golf wise. Thanks to my PGA pro. I broke 80 for the first time this year. I'm shooting in the mid to low 80's on a consistent basis. My goals for 2010 is to shoot in the high 70's regularly. Also, I want to improve my GIR's to give myself more opportunities to score. Key swing thoughts, don't rush, low, slow, and finish the swing.

Other goals are to be an equipment tester for THP or win a THP prize, hahaha

1) To not only break 90 (lowest 91 yesterday!)... but shoot low 80's consistently by end of summer.
2) To get my first lesson, or two, or three etc.
3) Make 3 putts a faint memory.
4) Make 100+ a very faint memory.
5) Make an eagle.

Good luck to all of you! STAY STRONG! and be persistent! and ALWAYS have fun... Ultimately it is a game...

The first one is a holdover from last season, and some of them are the same goals I have each year.

* Consistently maintain single-digit handicap
* Play more in Wisconsin, including at least one trip back to Erin Hills and Kohler.
* Average no less than one round a week
* Average no less than 2 practice/range sessions a month

Erin Hills is nice but I think Wild Rock in the Dells is better. Plus the course is still going to be messed up this year as they get ready for the 2011 US Amateur.

I would like to play Wild Rock and may try to do so this year as well (thanks for reminding me of the new course). Erin Hills should have all the "messed up" stuff done early in season. They won't even be open until late July I believe. But I just love the course... And who cares about new fescue; I don't plan on playing out of it much during my round (I wish).

Since Wild Rock is near the dells, that would be a perfect boat/golf trip.

* Play more in Wisconsin, including at least one trip back to Erin Hills and Kohler and play Wild Rock.

I have just one and that would be to get my handicap to single figures. Gonna take work on all aspects of my game though but I definitely think it's doable.

Play at least once per week, in addition to my 9 hole league.
Shoot 85 or lower.
No new equipment this year.
Enjoy - the game, my buddies, and the course.

1-make more time for golf.
2-practice, practice, practice
3-start shooting consistantly in the 80's
4-have more confidence in my game
5-don't get frustrated with slow play.

6-the most important! keep the game fun for my son
