Ian Poulter just posted this video on his Twitter feed, but I thought I'd put it up here as well. The video is about a guy named Manuel de los Santos, who is from the Dominican Republic. He was going for a professional baseball career when he lost his leg in a car accident in 2003. He took up golf after that, and is now a 3-handicap! He has even played in the Dunhill Links Championship in Europe (the European Tour's version of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am) and impressed the pros over there. I actually saw this guy practicing at Punta Espada in the Dominican Republic when I was down there last month, but didn't realize it was him until I got back to the States and read an article about him. He was practicing his short game for hours that day, and was really nice when I spoke to him in my broken Spanish. After you watch this video, I'm pretty sure you'll never make excuses for physical ailments affecting your golf game considering what this guy overcomes.
