Default Bobby Jones golf in trouble?
New Website (http://www.bobbyjones.com/index.cfm)

Its mostly clothes now. Drivers are gone. Fairway Woods are gone. Jesse's image and video's are gone. In fact there is nothing about Jesse Ortiz at all.

Just the old wedges and the Hybrids (on sale) and they are both overdue for a new model.

Is Jesse gone? Are the phasing out clubs? Any one know?

As a company it was not a standard setup in the first place. Going off of memory alone here, but I believe it was nothing more than a licensing project for Ortiz and Peltz. It appears as though they have not renewed their deal. I have asked the company for information for the last 5 weeks without any luck and the last time I asked specifically about a renewal of licensed projects. Still no firm response but it appears one of our friends that is a buyer for large golf store said there has been nothing from them in months.

I really cannot recall ever seeing one of their clubs in anyones bag that I have played with. Always read good reviews but never saw the clubs.

The workshop edition hybrid got gold in Golf Digest like two years ago but it was not available to purchase until recently, they really missed the boat on that I thought. Not sure what the thinking was there...

When we spoke to them about it and got initial samples, there was gluing problems evidently. They asked us to send the hybrids and drivers back, which we did and they would be replaced, which they never were.

Well hope Jesse shows up somewhere else. Those hybrids are 'gold'. I might have to get a back-up set while they are still around.

Hate to see another small company vanish.
