I don't care if you mark your ball or not if it's not near my line of putting. I'm not going to mark mine either unless it's going to bother you. Sometimes I'll even just rotate the ball to get my alignment mark the way I want it without marking it! (Don't tell! hahaha)

I do this too!! I mark my ball, pick it up and clean it and then put it back and remove my marker I've been asked to use another ball marker because mine have too much shine on them...whoo boy look out when the sun shines on them (its my technique haa haa).
