Hi guys,
I'm an 8 handicap and just about exclusviely play ProV1s and ProV1x balls. I'm in a scramble for work next week and we've gotten a friendly little rivalry going in the office about the long drive holes. I'd really really REALLY like to shut these guys up and take home the title. I was wondering if anyone had a go-to ball for these types of situations? It won't be played from tee to green, as this is a scramble, i'll hit it once and put it back in the bag. Lay it on me! |

I guess the first question is that you play Pro V1s and ProV1xs normally. They are very different balls, so what do you get out of each one that you like and that will help narrow down your choices. from there, it would depend on swing speed and what you can compress to maximize distance without ballooning.

For the ball, it would have to be legal and off the shelf, nothing special mail order. |

The Slazanger extreme raw distance (green box) balls are pretty good for distance and rock gardens. These balls aren't always going to feel good and I would aks them to stop on a green but they get the job done in the distance department and they are the balls used by the ReMax long drive champion although he may use the regular raw distance.
Good luck |
