Great interview with John...I didn't realize that he had designed the various iron sets that he had done. The Titleist DCI Oversize+ Blacks were my first set of non-passed down irons...and the TaylorMade RAC OS were my second, so I know his work well. I will be interested to follow his future releases, whatever and wherever they may be. He is obviously a gifted mind (to put it mildly).

Ad,
You will like the magazine interview where he talks about some of his other creations such as the hybrid and milled grooves.

I really enjoyed this show very much. I didn't realize you had been through so many putters JB. I can't wait to try out some of the SeeMore putters during the golf outing. I really enjoyed hearing about your bags and the changes that you have made.

Thanks Seth! I don't tinker nearly as much as JB but he is a much much much better golfer than I am so he has to room to do that. For me if I find something that works I stick with it because I don't want to mess up my game anymore than it already is.

I am kind of like you GG. My stuff works great and I don't want to switch, but I can also see where JB would want to switch putters a lot because putters are super cool. That new SeeMore putter is screaming my name.

haha it was mostly to make fun of JB because of his putter obsession. But he has a really good friend who also has an infatuation with putters, he must have over 100.

It's simply gorgeous! I can't even find the right words to describe just how nice it really is. Plus it just feels amazing when putting with it. Like I said I am a terrible putter but this has helped me so much and there is just something so fascinating about that idea of being able to put right or left handed with it.

For me, I just love looking down at it. No fuss, no frills, just a beautiful piece of equipment in all it's shining glory.

I think that's what it is more than anything. The beauty is in the simplicity.

good show this week. i loved the interview with john, he seemd like a friendly fella. pretty interesting that he was a teacher before his journey into the golf world. he must be a patient man and seemed so accomodating to participate in the show.

as far as what's in my bag, see below!

John is an incredible guy. He is incredibly motivating, clearly a genius, and just a downright nice man. I could talk to him for hours and the greatest thing about him....he would sit and chat with me the entire time.

I also found it interesting that he was a teacher. I can only imagine how smart this man is to go from teaching English (it was English right?) to designing clubs. He is a very rare man to be able to do something like that.

In the Spring issue of the magazine we have a more in depth interview with him and he talks about some great information. Like coming up with his first design ever which turned out to be the 845s. Going to Titleist to create the DCIs. His time at Taylormade and creating the Racs, the hybrid, and milled wedges.

its a fun article and he is one of the true friends of THP in the industry.
