I hope he has another run like that. Duval has the talent.

Yeah I don't know if he's mentally there either, but I will say that IF he were to pull off a win sometime soon expect to see an extremely rapid climb back up the world ranking. Remember how many times he came close before finally breaking through for his first win and once he finally did break thru he IIRC he won again real soon and went on a hell of a run that eventually got him to #1 in the world.
i would agree with everything you've said. it seems like he just doesn't know/forgot how to get it done. i hope he does and i hope he does it at pebble. how great for golf would that be?

I think it's the shades. I just watched a few times, but never saw him with the big dark wings on his face.

it's weird to see him without his sunnies on. his face is extremely pale and he has some serious sunglass tan lines.

his post round interview was really good. you can tell that he's worked hard to get back to this competitive level.

Your right about him being good for golf if he can make a strong "extended" showing. I'm ready for some really solid golf. Seem's like each week is a crap shoot.

i hear ya. i like it when there's 2-3 guys who are constantly threatening to win, i think it makes guys push a little more. duval could be a huge threat if he could get back in the winner's circle. i'm pulling for him bigtime, just hope he doesn't get so close only to lose it.

i've never been a huge duval fan, but i like to see guys who have kind of fallen off the map make a comeback after years of struggling. kind of gives hope to guys like charles howell III and although he hasnt been in the dark ages quite as long, adam scott

Yeah.. sometimes each round is an unknown (kind of like my game...). I too would love to see DD in competition again.

I had high hopes for him as well, but switched him out with JP Hayes last night and that one worked out.

Default Good for David Duval
I have really been hoping David would get his game and his confidence back. So far so good. It would be great if he won. Seems like a class act.

Yep. Good guy.

I root for him.

And not just because he's a Nike guy either.

As I said in the Pebble thread- it really seems to me like he might be turning a corner. Even last week aside from 1 round he played great at Riviera, he's finally starting to show us how "close" his game is.

he hit some beautiful iron shots and tempo of his swing is fantastic. i'd love to see him win this tournament, i just don't know if he's mentally there to pull it off.
