This 1st edition magazine is very well presented! I am impressed with the quality of the paper used in this inaugural edition. Very classy and well done. I enjoyed the interview with Charles Howell III. All the equipment, etc. pages were illustrated in top form. Great job THP! |

My THP Inaugural Edition Magazine arrived today. I was quite surprised by the quality even though we were told pretty much what to expect. The heavier stock used just made this the total package of "Something Very Special". The front cover artistically could not be beat, along with the "land, flag and sea" photo(s). I have to say, that was way cool to see how you had half on page one, with the other on page four.
The mix of bright and dark on every page made things jump out for me, though the grey writing on the CH interview just didn't seem right for me. The "Tool Shed" was my overall favorite part. All the different club views along with the angles across the page looked very professional. Add to that the "Quick Hit" and "Who's it For" were great. The circle pictures in the Readers Choice Awards were outstanding, as was the entire layout of that section. I really liked the Buyers guide, however the sudden change in color came a little quick? I can't say I cared for the orange/red blend color in that, especially when the next page "Diamonds In the Rough" changed drastically again. The entire issue was fantastic. Well thought out, artistic and "Reader Smart". Besides the couple of small negatives I had there was only one thing that I really didn't care for, that was the angled section of writing on the cover page to the Tool Shed. The "Keys" to the right looks ok, but the written section seemed off. I still have to give the overall a 9.995 out of 10! This was very well done. Thank You to everyone in the making of this special part of THP history. Duey (TheDue) p.s. My personal award for best advertisement was Daphne's "Take the dogs for a walk". |
