Just curious. My home course is Legacy/Fox Creek in Smyrna. Two 18-hole short courses, Legacy is a Par 59 and Fox Creek is Par 62.
Legacy Links Fox Creek - Discount Coupons Play there mostly because it's ~15 minutes away and they have an awesome annual pass deal- for under $400 I can play all year. New rule this year that carts are required before noon on weekends ($10)... but I just play later in the day since I hate to ride in a cart, especially there. |

No, but we have one we play at sometimes, especially at the beginning of the year. 18 hole, Par 60, 3400 yards. Six Par fours and twelve par threes. No riding carts. We use our push carts there. It also has a huge driving range, with grass stations and mat stations. About half of the mats are covered.

If you're still in the area next spring we are going to have to go and play Smiley's. I've never played any executive course. Merimac in Lawson is a pretty good executive course and you don't have to walk it like Smileys. |

The course I play most often (because its about a 2 minute drive from the house) would be considered an executive course. I suppose you could call it my home course.
Par 66 - 5100 yds from the tips. http://www.rigov.org/golf/saukie.html The course is mostly short par 4's. There is one par 5 that seems very long after playing the other holes. Nothing spectacular, but I can be home in 3.5 hours, which comes in handy with a 4 month old baby at home . |

My home facility has a nice little 9 hole Executive course (par 31) and a pretty decent 9 hole par 3 course in addition to the 18 hole (par 72) course. Both short courses offer some good variety in hole design.
I only play the Exec 2 or 3 times a year though. I just prefer playing a full 18 holes when I play. ![]() |
