I have it and used it a few times. Since I also carry a SkyCaddie, it was just too cumberesome, plus the phone has to be on and could still go off and distract me or my playing companions. I went back to the paper scorecard. I already have a AZGN account, so I can post my scores on line and keep my handicap without the OOB golf website.

As for the SkyCaddie comparison, to you find it more accurate or are you just accustomed to it? Isnt there a yearly charge for its service and a charge for some courses? Also, couldnt you mute the ringer of the phone? |

Im not familiar with AZGN. Can you tell me a bit about it? AZGN is Arizona's version of the GHIN handicapping service that is run by the USGA. I am a member of a men's club that gives me access to post my scores on that system for handicap purposes. The advantage is it allows me to keep a handicap that is verifiable for us in USGA tournaments, etc. |

I use GolfShot on my iPhone. I bought it a while ago. It is decent for keeping stats but as a rangefinder is a pretty bad. I think that may be an issue with my GPS chip, not sure. It is really bad for battery life, it can often be wrong with the yardage, and if you don't have a 3G signal you can't download the overhead view.
Overall for 30 dollars I would give it very low marks. |
