Default Covered In Mud
I came home covered in mud today - I sprayed myself and kicked it up as I walked. I have a towel clipped to my bag and use it to clean my clubs and my ball, but when I'm on the green, I'll wipe the ball on my pants or today on my wind vest. I can't do much about the spraying, but I noticed that some people have a towel hanging from their pants. Where do you get these little towels? Do they clip on? Do you use them? I think I need one.

Good question Diane. This wet year has found me just sticking an old white dish towel in my back pocket to use on the greens. I keep several long towels cliped on my bag for clubs, etc. Might be nice if someone made a short version that clipped to my putter cover. It could stay damp that way! Maybe someone does?

I was pretty muddy today too. I shot a 82 despite being covered in mud most of the day. I think I need some little towels like Diane is talking about.

I carry a Ballzee. Really great for cleaning the grass stains and dirt off before putting.

If it is really bad a small putter towel would be handy. I have a couple small ones
that I keep in my bag. I wet one end and it works great.

We can't walk at our club so I drape a towel over the basket behind the seats on the cart. I carry a towel that is slightly larger than a typical bath hand towel. I buy black ones from Walmart for $1.49 or something like that. I keep one end wet to clean clubs, balls, etc. I guess when the course is wet the wet end wouldn't be necessary. I carry it onto the green with me on every hole to clean my ball after marking. Next year I'll be walking and just drape the same kind of towel over my clubs. That's what I did when I walked in the past.

Irritates me if I don't have that size towel with me.

Are you a perfectionist? Or just a bit rigid?

That sounds a bit too personal for a public forum.

Sorry. I forgot that you were keeping your mouth available for other things.

Spoiler See what I did there. I went exactly where you were trying not to go with your awkward sentence wording.

Exactly - I'm eating an apple.

You're grading the grammar in my posts now? I thought that was Claire's job?

Neither, I just hate small golf towels. You need when end dry, and one wet, so typical golf towels don't work. I also have to have 3 1/4" tees. I usually like to start a new round with a new golf ball, but I can get by on that.

Other than that, get me to the course an hour early and I'm happy as a clam.

I've heard good things about BallBrite, but I have no personal experience with it. I saw someone I played with using it and it seemed to do a pretty good job.

The one I saw did. Definitely better than just cleaning it off by hand and neater than a wet towel. The guy that owned it had it clipped to a loop on his putter cover. He just brought the putter and cover with him to the green.

Thats what I was thinking when I saw the commercial. Keep it on the cover. Good job, it's amazing what all is out there and I don't know about it until someone on here posts it. Thanks.
