Default Best golf magazine!
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I am looking to subscribe to a golf magazine. I want reviews on gold equipment, courses, and pointers....let me know what you think I should subscribe to?

lol

I get both Golf and Golf Digest magazines. I personally like Golf, but they're really similar. Golf magazine has a lot of humor, which I appreciate.

None of them are really that good to be honest. Occasionally, you can find really good deals on Golf and Golf Digest. At least that way, you want feel bad that they aren't so great. I just resubscribed to Golf for $5 for one year when a "special rate" came up through Amazon.

My favorite golf magazines are European. i find them at Barnes and Noble. They are 'spensive but good. One is like "Golf World" and I can't think of the other. Not sure you can even get a subscription to them.

My favorite golf magazines are the ones that have fewer advertisements than they do golf articles.

At least they're not as bad as Vogue yet on ads. Hey, my fiance is a hair stylist - options are limited at the salon for reading and I'd seen all the GQ and Rolling Stone issues already.

Picked one up the other day at her salon, and I had to flip to page 52 just to reach the table of contents! WTF?!?!

I'd never read a Vogue before. I figured a fashion magazine had articles about fashion. Was looking to read an article about Michele Williams's post-Heath Ledger and what she'd been through. Little did I know it was just a giant advertisement book with a couple of articles hidden inside.

I agree with Thanks on this one, for equipment go Golf Digest, for everything else go Golf.

Bingo! Haven't found one yet that didn't suck. They are ok for showing new courses or possibly new gear but forget reading any of the bs tips.

BTW just remembered the only that is decent is free, Midwest Golfing magazine. Nice writeups on courses & they don't bother with tips.

A quit subscribing to any golf magazines a long time ago. If I had a nickel for every "secret" they wrote about, or every golf tip that was the total opposite of some other golf tip they wrote about I'd be rich.

And yes, too many advertisements.

I have to say I am surprised regarding the positive reviews on Golf Magazine. I stopped reading it because I thought Golf Digest did a better job. I will give it another chance now.

I used to subscribe to Golf World, but it comes every week and I couldn't keep up. Internet reading is easier.

I am a big fan of Golf Magazine over Golf Digest. I think they have better insite into the game. Golf Digest alway has the equipment hot list issue which is decent, but from what I here Golf Magazine is going to start covering a lot more equipment in the future.

I'm with this group. Save your money. They're just raggity little rags that are in the business of selling subscriptions. They help you not. Every month its, "CURE YOUR SLICE IN 5 SECONDS" or "NEVER LEAVE IT SHORT AGAIN WITH THIS SIMPLE DRILL"...what a load of BS.

Golf Magazine has gotten much better the past couple of years. Not sure what happened, but there was clearly a concerted effort to improve it. They do need to do more equipment reviews though.

GolfPunk (UK magazine) is (was?) my favorite by a mile, but it is a brazillion dollars to get a U.S. subscription and they are having financial difficulties (again) with spotty publication. But it had the perfect balance of good interviews, good equipment reviews, fashion, cars, and a good sense of humor.* I keep hoping someone will buy the U.S. publication rights and give it a shot here.

* Spoiler Also the Bunker Babes
