Wow! Almost the exact same thing happened to a friend of mine.
He and I were playing after work and we agreed to meet at the course. He was running a few minutes late. He calls me on the cell and proceeds to tell me that he had to go to the golf store to pick up a new putter after he broke his old one doing "batting practice" at the range. ![]() Sorry about your loss. |

I found a broken off chipper head near the tee-box of a 155 yard par 3 two weeks ago. Unfortunately I missed the long-chip attempt that broke it... |
