It's a little nippy here in Cheeseland. 30* this morning at 7:30, windy, and generally cloudy. We (Wife, Daughter, and me) had an 11:40 tee time at a course we haven't played, but to where we're thinking about switching our membership for next year. We each nestled into a couple of layers of fleece and headed down to this course. The wind was whipping, the sun was not shining, and two days of steady rain, the course was soggy like Wonder bread in milk.
I don't think the temperature got above the low 40s with 15-20 mph winds. We made it though nine, but then pulled the plug. I struggled to 44, my 12 year old Daughter had an admirable 51 with two doubles and a quad, and the woman I think was my Wife, it was hard to tell under the fleece, scarves, and hat, picked up on a few holes. We went for pizza and by the time we were done the sun was shining, the wind had died down, and the temperature was up at least 10*. Just goes to show you. Not sure what it shows you, but I'm sure it does. We're going to give it another shot tomorrow on the home track. Forecast is about the same. It stinks the season is coming to an end. My Daughter is soooo close to a great round. She had some great bogeys today in brutal conditions. There was a two club wind on some holes, and the soft course added one more. Kevin |

Kevin - I love playing golf when it's cold. For some reason, I play better. I'm visiting my parents and they just gave me big fuzzy mittens that fit over my Winter golf gloves to wear in between shots. They gave me a bunch of golf balls too. I should visit more often. Weather was awful here today, 80 and sunny. Yuck. ![]() |

Now, if you get those handwarmer thingys from WalMart to put in the mittens, your fingers should be toasty warm. ![]() Mid-40s this morning. The Kid insisted on wearing shorts and then complained his legs were cold. |

I have them - my parents gave me a bunch of them too. I've learned you have to open them an hour before you go so they're really warmed up. We were talking about how forward we're looking to Winter golf when we played yesterday. |
