Well, me thinks that getting out and playing more is starting to really help my game... I have played 18 rounds so far this year and here are my opinions on what has gotten my handicap from about 14.9 to a 9.2 (no particular order)

Walking the course keeps me from going to fast and I have been playing with a foursome on Sunday mornings in about 3.5 hours
Flattened out my swing plane on all types of shots...inside out = better than outside in
Practicing 10 minutes on the putting green before I play..Less (or no) 3 jacks
Doing an A.K. and choking down on the driver. Hitting more fairways and the sweet spot for an average gain of about 12 yards on my drives and usually 20% more on my FIR's
Switched from a PROV1x to the B330RX
Stopped over thinking my approach shots,...Laser the yardage, check my club card, no practice swings, inside takeaway....
leaving the last bad hole behind and "trying" to move on...(water under the bridge theory)

Missed a 172 yard, 5I ace by 6" this morning as well..

This morning, shot a 78 with 3 birdies, 8 Pars, 5 bogies, 2 doubles, 6 FIR's, 11 GIRs and 34 putts. The Fairways were only barely off...never more than 5 paces off which is good for me....Amazing how your approach shots improve when you hit from the fairway instead of the rough.

My goal this year was to end in double digits.... I am amending that goal....
New Goal - Stay in single digits AND get my first Eagle (or better)

I just went back and looked........a 78 is my best round ever......!!

I was thinking I had tied my best round, but my best round ever was a 79..

I am pumped now...!!!
