Oh..OK..I can live with that
I know Mo Hacker didn't need any so I wondered where they went.
I thought Smallie knew how to share with those less fortunate than himself.

Some people think you can use 1 mulligan on the front and 1 on the back. I have no idea where they got that idea from, but I've heard several people say that.
must be some unwritten rule...because I hear that as well
When I play with a couple of the guys from work I basically tell them they can have a mulligan on every hole if it will speed them up a bit. Not the greatest golfers in the world & even if they had 2 mulligans per hole they would never break 100.

But it's funny when you hear folks talk & they think there is an actual rule covering mulligans...yep there is...none allowed.

Today I was on the 1st tee box & I could hear the group on the 3rd tee. One of the guys messed up his drive & one of his partners told him to try another. He actually said something like "no, I already used both of my mulligans & need to play by the rules".

I laughed pretty good at that one.
Now that's funny, I don't care who you are....

Sorta like the idea that it is ok to roll your ball if it landed in a divot.

I agree with everyone above. Golf is supposed to be fun.

I played in a foursome a couple of weeks ago, we were all singles. On the first hole one of the guys putted to about 2" of the hole. Another guy swatted the ball back to him and said "nice putt." Well the guy who putted the ball got so angry and told us all not to touch his ball again! "I putt everything out and play by the rules," he told us. sheesh (BTW he didn't play by the rules as I saw him rolling the ball over in the rough on more than one occasion.)
Some people like to hole out their putts and get a little agitated when you wont let them do that.
Im kind of like that. I like to hear the sound of my ball rattling around in the cup and Id get kind of irritated if someone always hit my ball back to me, saying "nice putt" and didnt let me hole out.

Sometimes I play with a mulligan on the front and back sometimes I don't guess I'm breaking the rules.

You're only breaking the rules if you take a mulligan and enter your score for handicap.

Actually a mulligan would have come in handy on the first tee, remember I carded a 10 on the par 5 opening hole.

Casual or serious. As long as it is understood before the round I have no problems. Of course if you want my money rules are required.

I feel sorry for poor Mr. or Ms. Mulligan--what a way to go down in history!
