Glad you had a good time,some of the guys that I play with re tee after a bad tee shot takes to much time IMO and most of the time there next shot is not any better

I don't play in many tournaments, but my local muni has one the Saturday before Thanksgiving every year. Handicap season is closed and it's about 75% men and 25% women - it's nice to have a mix. It's only competitive in that there are prizes for low gross and low net - usually turkeys. I like it because it's fun. You need to find a fun tournament to play - without the nonsense.

I will find some others. I know of a few, but they are a bit costly, and I would prefer to be about 10 strokes more competetive, for those events
