Default Mahabharata and Sangam Literature
This link would be a good read for the weekend.

http://www.hinduwebsite.com/history/mahasangam.asp

P.S: There are some wrong assumptions on the dating/period of tamil country and that of Mahabharata.

Mr. Govinda,
Good posting.
After reading this link I am totally confused. In the cyber age and getting old the attention span is only so much. I got lost in details.

No problem, same with most everyone. There were many generations and lineages and knowledge. That's exactly, what I wrote in the other post, only Vyasa could have known all thru jnAna dhristi.

Leaving the time period away, the details about tamil kings and the literature on the Mahabharata would be a good reference.
