Default Hindu Religion
World has seen that the Hindu religion and belief being constantly attacked by outsiders for thousands of years. Yet this religion was able to withstand all the onslaughts mounted and preserve its identity with changing times.

However in the present day scenario, there is nothing to feel happy about when this great religion is being attacked from ‘within’ by the so called god men and women (I don’t want to take any one particular name as this list seems to grow by the day). It is deeply anguishing and saddening to read newspaper or watch television, when the so called god men commercially exploit the religion for their selfish greed and more shockingly the sex and sleaze life of some of these people – their steaming videos played out repeatedly by the media, hungry for sensational news.

Of course the role of media in such cases and its effect on the society in general and young children in particular is altogether different issue. The very same television/media houses allot time slots for some of these god men to telecast advertisement programmes about themselves and help them spread their tentacles. So it is double advantage for these media houses – to earn advertisement bucks from these fake god men and women and crucify them when it is convenient.

Coming to the issue of fake god men, gullible devotes worship them with the belief that these god men will show them the path to their ultimate mukti or nirvana or provide at least some mental solace for their day-to-day troubles. So, when these so called ‘gurus’ fail the believing public, it is natural that one gets a sinking feeling followed by outrage and anger. When emotions cloud logical thinking, it is worrying that, some weak minds might tend to attach the unholy acts of few of these fake god men to the religion itself.

Some others may argue that, even these fake god men are part of our society and reflect the general declining moral standards which the society as whole is witnessing. They may be partly true also. While in our society even a commonman is expected to adhere to certain moral standards, this bar is still set higher for persons holding high offices, judiciary and other public figures – not to mention god men who have to set personal example with their conduct and behaviour.

Yet for many of these fake god men in our society, hope is that there may be some good souls, who never proclaim themselves as incarnations of god but rather selflessly serve the role as ‘aacharyas’ in educating, enlightening and serving people with righteousness which is Hindu religion all about.

Amidst all these apparent chaos, scandals and worry about declining moral standards, it is easy to lose hope and get dejected. We can forgo hope on fake people, but can’t afford to lose hope on our gods. Let us be good human beings and help each other wherever possible. That is the bare minimum one can do in our journey towards self-realization as shown in our scriptures and which I am confident, will ultimately take us one step closer to the lotus feet of god.

Sri Madhan Gopalan,

The last paragraph quoted above, is an answer to all the questions you have posed in your post.

The character of profit seeking ventures is to make profit, in whatever available way. Media too is not exception.

In the guise of advocating against sex, they will publish sexy pictures, titillating clips.

In the guise of speaking against drugs, they will write or show all about drugs , what it is,where it is available, how to procure etc etc..so that those who do not know about this also are attracted to it.

In the guise of speaking against crime on women, they will give vivid(sometimes all imaginary) descriptions .

In the guise of speaking against religious discrimination, they may actually in effect do exactly opposite..
Similarly in the case of religious men also ,they will make musclemen out of mud, make them Super Heroes first. Then they themselves tarnish them, break them into powder.

In any field of human society, there are fakes now a days. The incidence is increasing in some territories considered quite sacred earlier. Like Doctors, Medicine manufacturing , .... religious field is also one of them.

As far as there are people ready to be cheated, cheaters will be there. But why so much noise when it comes something related to religion is:- people used to have fond faith in them ,and were confident that there are no cheaters in religious field. In politics or such similar fields, one is not shocked if a fake/corrupt one is caught and exposed. People take it a natural character of such filed. But something in field of defence, we get shocked , because, we take it as sacred and sanctified and out of purview of corrupt and corruption.

But , even now huge majority in almost all fields are genuine, and sincere. A speedy and just system of judicial system and law enforcement ;and vigilant and alert public conscience only can prevent the fakes.

The pubicity and shock element when somebody -even far related to Hinduism-- is exposed for wrong ---is also due to same explanation. nobody usually expects such a thing to happen.

For critics -within or external- anything is an opportunity to throw stones. If not this, they will invent some other one.. That is all !!!

Hence ,again I invite your attention to last para of your own post, which itself makes your whole post superfluous.

Greetings.

Just as Vivek Cine Actor said,"Doing Fraud in a Broad Manner" is the basic aspect of all these Poli Sanyasis.
Some Frauds will run away after an involvement of Fraud Activity of opening a Chit fund and run away after grabbing crores of peoples money.
We already witnessed Ramesh Cars,Sneham Finance,Kalaimagal Sabha etc...etc ...
But these poli sanyasis are hiding their faces behind hindu culture and escapes every time.
That is the biggest wound and pain of every hindu.
Every sanyasi must be hanged till death if found Really Guilty...
No Consideration or any concession to any polis with no compromise.
