Default Why Lord Ganesh have Elephant's head?
I have seen lord Ganesh's head it’s not like us it’s quite different, it is elephant. Is this so because he is King of elephants? Like Hanuman king of Monkeys?

No it’s not like that as much I know it’s because lord Shiva cut down lord Ganesh's head due to some reason and after that it was not possible to fix that head back to Ganesh's body so in behalf of his original head they fixed a elephants head. From that day he knew as Gajanan. “Gaj” represent Elephant.

Correct and after that, when one day Parshuram came to visit Kailash Parvat lord Ganesh stop him with a reason that his father (Shiva) is busy. Parshuram get angry and attack on Ganesh due to which lord Ganesh’s one teeth is broken.

Agreed due to which he also known as “ekdanth” which means person who is having only one tooth. It was a great story you will find it everywhere. Indian god and goddesses are having so many interesting stories. That why I like Hinduism.
