Blergh! I agreed with Naima going home, but not Thia! Thia's performance of Daniel was lovely. I wanted Paul PedoFace to go home with his scary white teeth and sequin flowerpants.

Next has to be Scotty. I am done with that kid.

I have gotten on the Idol train, not out of a love for the show or the singers, but of a love of Paul F. Tompkins' hilarious recaps of each episode. Read them all, I ache from laughing after every one.

I personally think that Paul has an interesting voice, but his awkward, creepy stage antics put me off of him, and his performance this week was unimpressive. Pia and James are clearly the best singers in the bunch, and while I am consistently amazed by Pia's vocal control, I find James highly irritating. Casey and Haley are my two favorites. They both seem so down to earth and likable, and they both have lovely, interesting voices. Haley is probably my #1, and her performance this week was excellent, I thought. I am ready for James and especially Scotty to be gone. Everything about Scotty makes me want to stab him in the face.

You SHOULD!
His face actually looks like it'd be suited to some weird stab scar or deformity, maybe right across the mouth. It's destined!

Okay, please no one get offended but does James Durbin remind you of this?:

Everytime I see him, there's something about him that makes me think about Baby Ruth. I think there's something wrong with him. I think he has Aspergers and tourettes or something. My little brother is Aspergers too, and they have some of the same mannerisms and stuff.

Damn it. I swear I have the worst sense of humor. I haven't watched much of this season, and I feel really bad for posting that now.

don't! it's fine! I just think there's a reason for his weirdness . maybe not the shape of his head, though...

LOL! Yeah, James has tourettes - I have definitely noticed his facial tics on several occasions. He is a little strange but I kind of like him, although I didn't think that he did that great of a job this week.

My schedule has kept me from watching it much this year. I don't know the names of anyone, but I love the girl they say is similar to Celine Dion, although Randy, the night I watched, told her she does too many ballads. I love ballads so no skin off my..
I like the blond guy who plays guitar.
I wish the gospel singer would mix it up a little so I can actually tell what he is saying. When he does those excited numbers with all those ad-libs I can't understand him, although I do love gospel songs like he sings from time to time.
That country singer.. the one with the one note. There is another country singer, can't think of his name, that sounds exactly like him. Josh Turner maybe?? I dunno. My sister loves him.

Casey gives me girl wood. Love him. Hated his Nirvana cover but think he's the fucking business.

Hated THE DURBINATOR at first, but he is hilarious.

I find it strangely compelling. Pretty much in love with Casey and Naima.

I am in love with Jacob Lusk, Casey and Josh Durbin. But yes, I also love Naima. I am so glad the judges used their save.

The only person I think needs to go is the country guy. He's totally one note.

BABYLOCKTHEMDOORS!

I liked Jacob early on, but I wasn't a fan of the last two performances at all. And I wasn't into Lambert, so Durbin is not high on my list. But I see the appeal. And doing Judas Priest on Idol was kind of amazing.

I could totally see Naima having a successful and interesting recording career.

You know who I was pissed to see not make it further? Rachel Zevita. Even though her "Criminal" was kind of strange and not good, that girl had such a personality and style that I wanted to see more. And she was unintentionally hilarious, which is also good. And Brett!

The only one I like this season is Casey. I was quite disturbed by tonight's results!

I was very disturbed, but hopefully that will propel him with some good will. I am glad they used the save.

I'm pretty sure I zoomed off to a different planet from the rest of the world because I am completely disappointed in and unimpressed with this season of Idol, and I've never felt that way. There's always been someone or a few someones worth watching for me. But while EVERYONE is singing the praises of these contestants this year, I'm shoving cotton in my ears. And I don't get it. The judges are fawning all over them, various friends praise them online each week after the performances, and some people say it's the best season they've ever seen. So why the hell am I hearing something completely different? I'm never this judgmental about this show (or most others, really). But I'm clearly hearing utter shite every time they perform. And yet, I seem to be in the minority. I'm cornfuzed. I don't even watch the results show anymore. I just wait until the next day to find out online who was voted off. Casey's been my favorite from the beginning, but even his performances are making me cringe a little. I would have loved to have seen that guy, Brett (with the big, red, frizzy hair) make it through. I've a soft spot for the underdogs.

I am surprised by how good this season has been so far and I like most of the contestants so it is hard to pick a favorite. While I like his voice and think he is a nice guy, I agree with Kari that "country guy" needs to go - he is one note and he has become very boring to me. Naima is one of my least favorites because she seems like a Rhianna wannabe to me and only this past week did she show that she has a voice that can compete with the rest. Casey, Jacob, Paul and James are the most interesting to me though, and I have to say that Pia was the only singer this past week to actually move me with their performance.
