indeed this is interesting territory for John Cameron Mitchell and that alone has me intrigued. but Nicole seems really strange for the part, and i can't put my finger on why. and i say this as someone who loves Nicole... what happened to her? her face looks so different. i couldn't feel her in her part somehow. perhaps it's too soon to tell, this is just a trailer after all.

I actually thought she looked better than I'd seen her in recent rags and appearances. This movie looks like it'll be great, but incredibly sad. It's an odd choice of material for John Cameron Mitchell, but I'm sure he did a good job with it. |

Jake, I agree.
They are not playing this or Blue Valentine anywhere near me. So I will have to wait til they are on DVD. I want to see this so badly. Nicole is producer on this film. It means a lot to her. Ive never seen Shortbus, but my goodness I keep seeing it on messageboards. I know that Jay Brannan, who is a singer I discovered by accident while watching Joni Mitchell covers on youtube, is in it. He is a lovely independent artist. I have seen Hedwig, lovely art film. |
