Default Rabbit Hole (John Cameron Mitchell)
Not what you'd expect to follow Hedwig and Shortbus, but I'm really looking forward to it.

^WOW! That looks so terribly sad... What a strange project for him. I've loved his other movies, so I'll give this one a shot as well. It's so cool to see him working with an A-list cast. I'm really proud of him.

Wow. I nearly teared up by that trailer. I love Hedwig, but never saw Shortbus. This new movie looks very sad, almost too sad to see.

looks like an interesting role for nicole and it has me intrigued. it doesn't look like something i'd see in the theaters, but i'll catch it when it's released on DVD. who knows, maybe i'll change my mind if there's a lot of buzz. and i love me some hedwig.

indeed this is interesting territory for John Cameron Mitchell and that alone has me intrigued. but Nicole seems really strange for the part, and i can't put my finger on why. and i say this as someone who loves Nicole... what happened to her? her face looks so different. i couldn't feel her in her part somehow. perhaps it's too soon to tell, this is just a trailer after all.

I actually thought she looked better than I'd seen her in recent rags and appearances.

Can't wait to see this. I love JCM.

Her face looks different than it used to, but she looks a lot less Botoxed and overly made-up. I think she looks better her than usual.

This movie looks like it'll be great, but incredibly sad. It's an odd choice of material for John Cameron Mitchell, but I'm sure he did a good job with it.

I really enjoyed this film as well. It had a different mood about it, and Aaron Eckhart makes me swoon!!!

Jake, I agree.
They are not playing this or Blue Valentine anywhere near me. So I will have to wait til they are on DVD. I want to see this so badly. Nicole is producer on this film. It means a lot to her.
Ive never seen Shortbus, but my goodness I keep seeing it on messageboards. I know that Jay Brannan, who is a singer I discovered by accident while watching Joni Mitchell covers on youtube, is in it. He is a lovely independent artist.
I have seen Hedwig, lovely art film.

Aaron Eckhart will probably not get any nominations for this film, but Jeremy Renner will for The Town. That movie is so over-hyped as is Renner. He is Hollywood's Darling right now, so it seems.

It was a really good film. It was shot on a new camera called RED, and the cinematography is really beautiful.
The biggest issue for me in the film was Nicole's face. It was so distracting to watch. Especially when she would cry. She still looked so frozen. It's a shame.

I really want to see this movie, but it looks almost like a voyeuristic window into a grieving process. We just took a one act musical to the Bob Smart Theatre Festival. (used to be the Lenaea Festival) and two of our students performed a scene from the play that moved me to tears. Amazing writing.

It was not as sad as you may suspect. I was a little scared to watch it, thinking I just couldn't handle the emotions of it all. In the end it left me with a hopeful feeling.

^LOL! Really. Shortbus is quite sexual. I watched it with one of my friends and felt a bit awkward... thank God for couch pillows... that's all I'm sayin.
