I rented it last night and it was somewhat good. There were a few key lines from the book, but not nearly enough. the book has some good interactions between the father and his son which the movie had none of. In that regard, it was a disappointment. Those lines in my opinion, are very important as it relates to going on despite not knowing what will happen.

I do agree with the assessment here. I will say that the book was really depressing to me. I didn't feel as depressed when watching the movie for some reason though. Maybe because I know what's going on perhaps.
