Default Prometheus (2012)
I am stoked to see this on Sunday. I don't usually get overly excited about new horror flicks (even though this is a mix of horror and sci fi) but Ridley Scott says it's his "best and scariest" film. That's worth listening to!

Who else is stoked?

I wouldn't say I'm stoked but I'm going to go see it at some point. I don't normally like horror but I'm a big fan of Alien anyway and this is related.

Let me know how Aliens the 23rd turns out

Anyway you cut it, I don't think Alien/Aliens can ever be beat for a back to back sci fi horror tandem.

No argument, but that doesn't mean a new movie can't be good, too.

So is this an alien movie, or a horror movie?

Agreed.

The "They went looking for Earths beginning but what they found may be Earth's end" (or something along those lines) does sound a little over the top, AND it was shot in 3D AND it was supposed to be a prequel to Alien leads me to believe that I will wait for it to come out in the cheap seats.

Hey, the only movie that made me spend the $4.50 "big bucks" matinee was the Avengers.

For what it's worth, I'll will be curious for your review on the movie. I hadn't heard anything about it review wise. Note: if they don't do a screening, it's a bad sign LOL

For pure rock em sock action, once Aliens gets going, it never stops.

You knew it was going downhill though when Predator got into the picture LOL

It should have been titled "Poopmetheus." We saw it in 3D on the big screen and I booed at the end and yelled RIPOFF.

I'm a huge Ripley Scott fan. Could NOT believe he signed onto this one. Not worth the $ we paid to see it, IMO.

I hope he leaves Blade Runner alone.

I don't like horror films. Most of the time I am scared of my own shadow.

Can't wait.

But it's got some bad reviews. And Scott's last film wasn't up to much.

Yeah, the reason why I don't watch horror is because I have a very active imagination and I'm a night person. NOT a good combination. I think the reason why I like the whole Alien franchise, though, is because it's sci-fi. It's just not plausible that one of those nasty things is going to be jumping out at me from around a corner. Therefore my imagination doesn't run away with it.

Very much stoked. Will probably see it this weekend. Been waiting for this one for a long time.

The next Blade Runner movie from Scott is also something I'm looking forward to - and also will be quite a while I daresay
