There are enough cool Spidey villians to fill up 6 movies. You have Venom, Lizard, Carnage, Misterio, Elecktro, Shocker, Scorpian, Chameleon, Rhino, Kraven, Vulture, Sandman, Black Cat, etc. But I doubt the cast would return beyond 3. You never know though, Tobey might find himself typecast or something and might want to make several more millions of dollars. I don't see Dunst coming back. And Raimi, well if he said he might then he might, but I'd rather see him do an Evil Dead 4 first.

I still think that using both Venom and Carnage might ot be a good idea... Venom is the classic, but if they were to stick to the cartoons/ comics (I believe Carnage was cartoons only, right?) then they'd need to have two movies with Venom playing a large part as if I remember correctly Carnage was so powerful it took Spidey, Venom and the Fantastic Four to defeat him
![]() Just stick to Venom, and then make use of others like Sandman, Lizard, Mysteria, etc. |

I agree with Moose, there is more than enough material to fill up 6 Spidey films, there are cool villains yet to be used (Sandman, Venom, Lizard, Elektro to name but 4), and as long as they can keep Maguire (which shouldn't be too much of a push I don't think) and Raimi (who seems to like the idea) then they're good to go. They simply jump forward to Peter marrying MJ at either the end of the last film Dunst wants to have a major part in or the start of the next one and follow the comics where MJ left him.

Spider man has to be one of the best Marvel based movies out there ...
I am highly anticipating 3, and waiting to see the next villain. The movie sounds awesome, I just wish they would reveal the villain ... Hopefully a 4, 5, and 6 come. I want to see a lot of the unused people (Venom .... Definatly Carnage and maybe Scorpion). |

Even if we don't get six spider man movies right in a row there will always be more. Sometime down the line in the future someone will try to remake the movies or continue the series. Much like we are seeing in movies such as: Batman Begins, the new superman movie in development and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Like it or not Spiderman is a goldmine. |

I also heard that the third one would be the last. The first two movies were good, and they should do #3 and be done. Too much of a good thing can be bad. Remember the overkill of sequels to Rocky, Rambo, and the Lethal Weapon movies???
Unless they can come up with three more entertaining movies (with the same cast), Spider-Man 3 should wrap up the series nicely. ![]() |

Raimi Mulls Many More Spideys Source(s): Sci-FiWire.com ![]() Spider-Man director Sam Raimi told SCI FI Wire that Sony Pictures plans to make six of the comic-inspired films, and that he'd consider helming them if he feels as strongly about them as he does about the upcoming third installment. "I've heard Amy Pascal [chairman of Sony's motion picture group] say she wants to make six Spider-Man pictures," Raimi said in an interview at the Saturn Awards in Los Angeles. "So I think she's a woman of her word. And if she says there'll be six, there'll be six. ... If they were to ask me, and if I felt as passionate as I feel now about the character and had this great hunger and desire to tell the story, which I really do now, you couldn't keep me away from it." Raimi said the upcoming third Spider-Man film will in part chart Peter Parker's (Tobey Maguire) interior journey as he deals with his feelings about the death of his beloved Uncle Ben. "The task that I had was to try and understand where he was when we last left him ... at the end of Spider-Man 2, trying to figure out what he lacked as a human being, as far as where he was immature and what he had not learned," Raimi said. "And certainly there's so much for that kid to learn. He really has been denied a social life. He's just been focused on being this do-gooder. And never really even dealing with the death of his uncle, just paying down his guilt with every criminal he brings to justice, never really addressing his own guilt that he feels in his heart and coming to terms with it. He's never really looked inside himself. So I think this picture ... he's going to have [to] look a little more inside himself and recognize and deal with some of the deficiencies that he has as a human being." Thomas Haden Church (Sideways) will play a new as-yet-unidentified villain who is appropriate to that emotional journey, Raimi added. "We had to choose a villain that represented a proper obstacle in the path of that growth," Raimi said. "And so, though I'd rather not say who Thomas Haden Church is playing just yet—because Sony likes to make a proper presentation to the fans along with Avi Arad from Marvel Comic books—he was chosen because he represented that proper obstacle to ... Peter Parker's growth." Spider-Man 3 is in preproduction now. ---------------------------------- Thoughts/Comments: Meh, I don't know about six Spider-Man films. I can understand having just three films, but not six. It's going to be hard for them to get the full cast for another three films. |

I have always loved Spiderman and personally it would suit me just fine if they made a Spiderman movie every two or three years for the rest of my life. It could be like a Bond thing, as long as you keep the story line interesting it shouldn't matter if there are changes in the cast. I just hope when they do finish making the films they leave everything open instead of trying to wrap it up in a neat little package.

I love the Spider-Man series, but the one thing about having a 4,5, and 6 is that Toby Miguire might not be around for them...personally I think he's perfect for the role...anyone else they could do away with.
It could kind of be like Christopher Reevs being Superman for 5 films, Toby could be the mainstay for Spider-Man, just as long as he doesn't get tight casted. |

i feel the film noir of the story should be nicley done in 6, keeping the cast would be hard but for tobey it's chance to complete the job and go down in history.
If Dunst has to go, be a shame but i think maybe a small role in 4, maybe a kidnapping, you could spawn a joint storyline, maybe at the end of 4 which would use venom, have carnage be created and nick dunst away, give her a film off then have her back at the end of 5 briefly then finally 6. It's not too hard to think around it. |
