Is it not haram not work - when you are young and in good health? I mean, wouldnt Allah (swt) encourage us not to parasite on others? Basically what I want to know is, wether it is haram to parasite on others, when you can work yourself? Barakallaha feek |

Anyone who earns a halal living for themselves is better than someone who depends on others. It is manly to go out and make a living for yourself...it is similar to being a warrior...because you will face allot of challenges...and if you get through it all with your Islam intact it is a form of jihad...you could spread Islam just through your trade practices and business ethics.
Allah Most High tells the Muslims to go and search for the Bounty of Allah (provision) after Jumma Prayers (one of the best and highest prayers in the Muslim week). So yes laziness is discouraged strongly. salam alaikum wa rahmatallah wa barakatuh |
