Where are the Muslims? Our brothers and sisters in Burma and being slaughtered!
http://youtu.be/CV12nFOsa-c What can we do? Almighty Allah says: "The Believers are but a single Brotherhood." [Al-Hujurat 49:10] The Prophet (Salallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: They do not do injustice to others nor do they tolerate any injustice to themselves. In their love and concern for each other, all members of this Brotherhood are one body: when any part of the body suffers, the whole body feels the pain. [Sahih Muslim] "A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim. He does not oppress him, nor does he leave him at the mercy of others." [Sahih Muslim]. So let us not leave our brothers and sisters in the time they need us the most. They are a part of us like we are a part of them for we are one body and they are in much pain therefore everyone one of us should also be in PAIN! So let us create as much awareness as possible of the plight of these people. We can do this by writing letters to local and national government, protesting, signing petitions, giving in charity and making much Dua. Give what you can to our brothers and sisters in dire and desperate need Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said "No wealth (of a servant of Allah) is decreased because of charity." [Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith No. 2247] So let us give knowing that our wealth will NEVER decrease but that Allah will increase it: Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) as saying that Allah, the Most Blessed and High, said: O son of Adam, I will spend on you. The right hand of Allah is full and overflowing and nothing would diminish it, by overspending day and night. [Sahih Muslim] 100% of donations will get to those who need it, not a penny towards administration costs: Ummah Welfare Trust: Emergency Burma Appeal http://www.uwt.org/site/appeal.asp?id=757 Or if you are not from the Uk then give what you can to any charity whether locally or nationally who are raising money for the Rohingya Burmese. Let us remember ALL of our brothers who are going through oppression and in our Dua's. |

There are already existing petitions which we can sign and forward. We can write letters to local Burmese and Myanmar embassys and to local and national government and just e mail all of our contacts making everyone aware of what is going on in Burma. That way everyone will know about it and then the international community will have no choice but to intervene. On top of that give as much as you can to charity Burma appeal and also raise funds for the burmese by setting up stalls and charity boxes around Masjids, high streets and shopping areas etc. Also make much dua for them especially in these last few blessed nights. |

Bismihi Ta’ala
The beauty and perfection of the Sunnah is that it covers the entire spectrum of our lives, so we will most certainly find guidance and direction in regards to every situation and circumstance. Rasulullah (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi waSallam) taught us, that when we are under the yoke of oppression and suppression, we should recite Qunoot-e-Naazila. Qunoot-e-Naazila is the dua which Rasulullah (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi waSallam) and his Sahabah (RA) would make to break the power of the enemy and to remain protected from their persecution. It has been mentioned that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi waSallam) made this dua continuously for a month for the deliverance of the Muslim prisoners, until they returned home. So we will be bringing alive and following the Sunnah if we do the same – when surrounded by the enemy, when subjected to oppression and persecution. It is a powerful weapon which we have been given but are not utilizing fully. In fact, majority do not even look towards the Sunnah when it comes to such important matters and such trying times. SubhanAllah, just the words of Qunoot-e-Naazila offers hope and strength. The impact of it will be seen when we practise - Insha-Allah. * The person who is praying individually as well as females can also recite the Qunoot-e-Naazila. * Perhaps one of the members could post the Arabic dua for the benefit of those who do not know it. Hereunder is a translation of the Qunoot-e-Naazila O Allah, guide us aright along with those who have been rightly guided and grant us safety along with those that have been granted safety and support us along with those who have been supported and add Your Blessings to what You have given us and save us from the harmful effects of what You have ordained ( i.e. lest we should be wanting in cheerfully submitting to Your Decrees) as You alone disposes and no one can dispose against You. Anyone who is under Your Protection cannot be lowered and anyone who is opposed by You cannot gain dignity; Our Lord; You are full of blessings and Most High, we beg forgiveness from You and repent before You and may the blessings of Allah be showered on the Rasulullah (Sallallaahu 'alayhi WaSallam). O Allah, forgive us and the believing men and women and Muslim men and women, unite their hearts with mutual love, set right their mutual affairs and help them against theirs and Your enemy. O Allah, let Your curse be on those unbelievers who prevent people from treading Your path, who reject Your Messengers and fight Your chosen ones. O Allah, make difficult their plans, shake their feet and give them such punishment which is not turned away from a sinning people. |
