There were demonstration in Mumbai against lack of coverage of Assam riots by the media. It was organized by Raza Academy, the mainstay of Barelwi movement in Mumbai. There were reports of inciting speech against the media, assault on a female cop, stone throwing and torching of a police vehicle. Police fired and two people were dead. Raza Academy denied that the miscreants belonged to them.
