I heard several times in the gatherings of my Shaikh about an Elder who is running around hundred and forty but I never got enough courage to report this. May Allah (SAW) elevate his stature.

Sister UmmHasan, I believe this is the same scholar from whom two of your senior female teachers visited and recieved ijaazah from whilst in Makkah a few years ago.
They would have more information.

May Allah elevate his rank in Jannah and forgive any short-comings through His infinte Mercy!

Was the Shaykh of Indian origin? Not that it makes any difference, I'm just curious on the background of the Shaykh rahimullahi ta'ala.
Yes he was from Burma and you can read more information about him here

I believe he was originally from Burma. He was born in 1297AH

Our very own Shaykh Abul Hasan has ijazah from this Shaykh. May Allah illuminate his grave and make his journey easy.

He took hadith from Hakeem ul Ummah Shaykh Ashraf Ali Thanvi(rah). Below is his chain which goes back to Shah Waliullah(rah)

A copy of the Ijazah that Shaikh Mohammed Nadir al-Arkani al-Makki (RA) would pass to deserving students.
