After hearing about the demonstrations in Indonesia for the Muslim Rohingya people I thought perhaps British Muslims could organise a demonstration in front of the Myanmar (Burmese) embassy in London. More importantly for the Bangladeshis on the forum maybe they could arrange demonstrations (hartal) in Bangladesh. We can't militarily help our Muslim brothers and sisters so atleast we can demonstrate for them wherever we are and highlight the crimes of the Mushriks of Myanmar (Burma).

Salam. I understand you care like any other Muslim but what will femonstrations achieve? It's not the method of the Prophet (saw). Remember the prophet (saw) even saw Sahaba being tortured infront of him. He (saw) did not go to the kuffar or demonstrate to stop these abuses. Muhammad (saw) worked to implement Islam in all walks of life. Islam is not like any other religion. It is a way of life where everything in deen has to follow the way of our prophet (saw). Demonstrating is not that way.

Brother, you criticize what I have suggested but you don't provide any alternatives. What else can we do? Realistically, we should be there in Burma defending the Muslims, but we don't or we can't, so what else can we do?

Wasalam brother. We should work to establish the Islamic way of life and put our efforts towards making Allahs deen above all other laws. Demonstrating gives a false sense that we have done our good deed and that we have achieved something. Also we are asking the kuffar like beggars to stop doing this. Muhammad (saw) did not do this. Imagine this brother, if the Muslims were truly Islamic in belief and in action and we had one leader no one would dare attack us. Demonstrating does not fight the root problem that is we are disunited and do not live our lives totally according to the Kalimah. When we do this inshallah we will be rewarded, not by begging the kuffar to stop killing us!
