....is the dua for acceptance [qubooliyatt] of our aamal's [deeds] - be it Salah / Namaz, Zakat, Hajj, Fasting, Quran, Dhikr, Khurooj, Sadaqah, be it fardh, wajib, sunnah or nafl done for the sake of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'laa. Because we are weak, Our imaan is weak, Our amaal's are weak [see reason above]. Every ibadah of our's isn't up-to even an acceptable standard, we can't even reach the level of namaz that the Auliya of today perform, forget the Sahabah [ra]. So before you make other dua's after any act of worship... Seek forgiveness from Allah SWT that the namaz [or any other ibadah] you just performed contained a lot of weaknesses, so ask Allah SWT with all humility to forgive the weaknesses and please please accept the namaz you just did and to give taufeeq to better perform namaz the next time you do. Remember DO NOT say 'IF there were any shortcomings in my prayer, please forgive them' - Remove the stupid IF word, all of our ibaadah's have shortcomings. Period. And yes this dua is to be performed before all other duas - you can see why that is. And like I said before, do this after every amaal - after reading the Quran, Dhikr, after you've given sadaqah, sponsored a kid, given zakat, like after each and every amaal. DO NOT forget this when breaking fast. We are constantly reminded of this in tabligh - so thought I'll share it. Its like, first seeking forgiveness and then asking: s1.jpg Allahumma a’inni ‘ala dhik-rika wa shuk-rika wa husni ‘ibaa-datika O Allah! Assist me in remembering You, in thanking You, and in worshipping You in the best of manners. Please remember me in your Duas & esp. our fellow Muslims in Burma & Syria. Won't respond to comments until after Ramadhan |

[COLOR="#000000"] I make this type of dua after every namaz, but I just realized that I always say 'IF'. Will remove this word now, for the reminder akhi. |

for the dua brother Pluto! Can anyone clear this up: Is it "Allahumma a’inni" or "Allahumma a’innA" I used to say the first one (inni) but recently I heard the Imam at our masjid make this dua out loud and I thought he said "innA", then I went and reread the Arabic and it seems like "innA". Here's an image of this dua from another website where it's more clearly written as "innA" (though they also have 'dhikrik' and 'shukrik' switching spots which I've never seen before): shukr-dua.jpg So, which is it? "innI" or "innA"? |

You say 'ainni if you are talking about yourself and 'ainna if you are talking about a group of people. In other words "O Allah help me" and "O Allah help us" respectively. So, the imam at the masjid did so as he was doing a group duaa and asking Allah help "us". |

@sister Salikha Muslimah is right
Here is the kind of dua I do and have been advised to do: Ya Allah! a) Please forgive the mistakes and weaknesses in my Fajr salah and the salah of the whole of the Muslim ummah and accept our salah. b) Please give us all taufeeq to correctly perform our salah such that it gets accepted. Here is the dua I do after reading the Glorious Quran: Ya Allah! a) Please forgive the mistakes I committed in reading the Quran and please accept my reading of it. b) Please give taufeeq to me and the whole Muslim ummah to read the Quran with tajweed. c) O Allah! Grant me and the whole ummah*, the Guidance (Hidayah) that you have hidden behind the words of the Glorious Quran. "Ya Allah! Quran ke alfaaz ke peeche jo tu-ne hidaayat ko chupa rakhi hai, woh hidayat mere aur saare ummat ke huqq mein naseeb farma" *meaning even non-Muslims, you needn't say it, just imagine that and say 'ummah'. There's one more but only used to transfer the thawab - not necessary here. ----------It looks all long when you read it, but believe me it doesn't take any time at all when you say it - around 20 seconds. Remember to do duas with complete certitude, conviction etc. |
