Default How to do Family Jamaat at home?

Since we can't always make it to the masjid, my family and I get together and pray in jamaat at home.

How wold this work? I have two sisters and a brother.
If the Father is leading should the brothers stand in one saff while the sisters and mother stand in a second saff behind them, or should we all just form one saff?

We've been praying all in one saff (male and females all in one line) but my understanding is that the females should be farther from the imam, while the males should be closer to the imam, and therefore two saffs should be formed (one for the males, and one for the females). Is this correct?

Yes youre right.
The females have to stand farther behind the imam and the men.
