Default Comparison of Annunciation of Jesus in Luke 1 and Qur'an 19 & 3
Please compare the answers given by the Angel Gabriel in Luke 1:35 and Qur'an 19:21 and 3:47. It's clear the Lukan version is human and rather "crude"; the Qur'anic version is sublime and "polite". How can a so called "forgery" / "an imitation" be better than the "original" unless the "forgery" IS the original verbatim direct from God?

And which version would you prefer to give to your daughter?

Luke 1

[28] And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
[29] And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
[30] And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
[31] And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
[32] He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
[33] And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
[34] Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
[35] And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Qur'an 19 (Maryam)

16. Relate in the Book
(The story of) Mary,
When she withdrew
From her family
To a place in the East.

17. She placed a screen
(To screen herself) from them;
Then We sent to her
Our angel, and he appeared
Before her as a man
In all respects.

18. She said: "I seek refuge
From thee to (God)
Most Gracious: (come not near)
If thou dost fear God."

19. He said: "Nay, I am only
A messenger from thy Lord,
(To announce) to thee
The gift of a holy son."

20. She said: "How shall I
Have a son, seeing that
No man has touched me,
And I am not unchaste?"

21. He said: "So (it will be):
Thy Lord saith, "That is
Easy for Me: and (We
Wish) to appoint him
As a Sign unto men
And a Mercy from Us":
It is a matter
(So) decreed."

Qur'an 3

45. Behold! the angels said:
"O Mary! God giveth thee
Glad tidings of a Word
From Him: his name
Will be Christ Jesus,
The son of Mary, held in honour
In this world and the Hereafter
And of (the company of) those
Nearest to God;

46. "He shall speak to the people
In childhood and in maturity.
And he shall be (of the company)
Of the righteous."

47. She said: "O my Lord!
How shall I have a son
When no man hath touched me?"
He said: "Even so:
God createth
What He willeth:
When He hath decreed
A Plan, He but saith
To it, 'Be,' and it is!..."

It's clear the Luke version is human and rather "crude";
I fail to see what makes you say that the story as told in Luke is somehow "crude"?

Please sister, abstain from making such statements. We do not know what areas of the Bible and Gospel are flawed except for those that contradict the Qur'an and the ahadeeth. The narration in Luke mostly doesn't contradict the Qur'an so we should not call it 'crude', especially since you're using the KJV, which is a translation (English) that was based on a translation (Latin) which was based on a translation (Greek) which was based on a translation (Hebrew) which was based on the language that Isa and the apostles spoke (Syriac/Aramaic).

Please use any modern translation of the Bible for the "experiment" below. Try blueletterbible.com

Compare the answer given by the Archangel Gabriel in Luke 1:35 and Qur'an 3:47. At first glance they look identical as to how the Blessed Virgin Mary was to get pregnant but when you analyse it's chalk and cheese. This is what I meant was "crude" and not the whole passage of Luke. Kindly re-read the first two sentences of my post. We can see the "humanity" of "Luke" but the "Divinity" of Allah (SWT) in trying to express the same thing.
