Sheikh Maulana Abdus Sattar Sahib (DB) said one should aim to complete at least 10 khatams in ramadhan. Let Allah SWT give us tawfeeq. Ameen

A khatam is reciting the Quran from start to finish once.

Since the rewards of good deeds are multiplied in Ramadan, everyone tries to finish one or more Khatams of the Quran

My daughter did three last year and she was 11. Come on, a hafedh of Qur'an, can do more! A minimum of a manzil a day will give four khatams, .

Completing Quran 60 times during Ramadan is impossible. Abu Hanifa got the Barakah in time from Allah swt, if you get you can do so.
He also witnessed Laylat ul-qadr outside Ramadan. The purpose of Ramadan is to prepare ourselves to attain Laylat ul-qadr, when Laylat ul-qadr is witnessed - Barakah comes.

Ramadan is a precious time, engage more in Ibadah.
Dont waste time by eating more Biryani, taking non sense during iftar parties,

It is not impossible. Many people have done it and still do it. Allah can also give you the same barakah in time. As someone said, hum rijaalun fa nahnu rijaal. The purpose of Ramadhan is not to attain laylat ul qadr. The purpose is to attain taqwa like Allah said in Quran.

That's true, Maulana Sahib. Anyone can be a wali. Then again, Masjidun Nabawi is not like anywhere else.

Khalah, I was using equivocal language.I have to do khatm in tarawih anyway so I was shooting for that number of khatms for nafl salah. I've never really counted how much I read during ramadhan.

I'll use that story for targhib. May Allah continue to bless your family. Amin

Khatam means finishing the Qur'an, beginning to end.

Khatam literally means finish/end.

As someone said, hum rijaalun fa nahnu rijaal.
As-salamu 'alaikum wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh

I find this ironic since this was said by Abu Hanifa (rah), although in another context concerning matters of fiqh, if I remember correctly, and this topic is about Abu Hanifa (rah).

Yes i think it was said by him about tabi'een. I wasn't sure thats why I didnt mention. Context was indeed matters of fiqh but not limited to it. Reading 60 qurans in ramadhan is difficult but not impossible. People do it all the time. Just trying to say that we can also do it.

I just found it funny - in a positive manner, i.e. a funny coincidence. I did not imply that using the quote was wrong.
