TEHRAN – The leader of this week’s Friday prayers in Tehran has said that the killing of Muslims in Myanmar is an act of confrontation with Islam and the Islamic Awakening occurring in the region.

“In the face of this (Islamic) Awakening, oppressed Muslims are being killed. The enemy is actually moving toward confrontation with Islam, the Islamic Awakening, and the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani told worshippers at Friday prayers at the campus of the University of Tehran.

trying to portray themselves as the defenders of islam as always

next time someone says "at least they speak up against so and so" I will definitely like to see what they actually did to help them other than talk

I always find them taking action and talking about defending Islam before any one else. Forgive my ignorance but look at the hamas??

They are hypocrites. By Allah, they don't give a damn about Muslims (AhlSunnah wal Jamaat).

A member of Ikhwanul Muslimeen from Syria (I don't remember his name) writes in his book that when Hafiz al-Assad, the father Bashar Assad, was killing thousands of Syrians, He went to Iran to meet Khomeini and tell him about these atrocities. He started mentioning the crimes committed by Hafa Aassad soliders but Khomeini was calm as if nothing has happened. When he finished talking, Khomeini replied in an angry manner and said: "You are being fooled by US and the Zionist go back to Syria and be with the government of Hafiz al-Assad.".

Today they are saying the same thing.

Assalamu alaykum

Years back, in my city the Iranians use to have "Quds day" (a friday in ramadhan) separately. The local ahlussunnah had their own programs on "baitul-madis". Once I had argument with the Iranians on why did they had separate programs and why they couldn't join the locals.

The reply was:

"All the locals are hypocrites" (the ahlusunnah).

The world knows what ahsunnah did for our phalestanian brothers and who gave mere lip service.

This would be good opportunity to list some of good and bad about them and what they did in action rather than the lip service like the Arabs....
1. Condemned Rushdie first and gave fatwa with booty
2. Helped the Hamas help the Palestinians....
