Default Cabinet: Makkah summit to help strengthen Islamic unity
http://arabnews.com/cabinet-makkah-s...-islamic-unity

The Council of Ministers yesterday said the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah’s call for an emergency Islamic summit in Makkah would strengthen Islamic unity.
“The call for an emergency summit reflects the king’s desire to unify Muslim countries in this fragile time of discord,” the Cabinet said following its weekly meeting.

Preparations are underway by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for the summit on Aug. 14 and 15 and will include a meeting of foreign ministers and senior OIC officials.

“The summit will address the situation in a number of Muslim countries, intensify efforts to contain division and dissention and strengthen Islamic unity and solidarity,” the OIC statement reported by Saudi Press Agency said. The Cabinet chaired by King Abdullah highlighted the Saudi monarch’s five-day fundraising campaign for the Syrian people. “This reflects the king’s humanitarian feelings toward his brethren in Syria,” it added. Culture and Information Minister Abdul Aziz Khoja said the Cabinet praised resolutions taken by an emergency Arab League Ministerial Council meeting in Doha pledging all necessary assistance for Syrians.
The Cabinet agreed to the signing of an agreement with Tajikistan to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion. It also agreed to change several details of the Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard agreement. “The Cabinet elected to intensify efforts by all government departments to apply e-government systems,” Khoja said, adding it urged the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to conduct more workshops on the topic.

“The Cabinet approved the bylaw of private rehabilitation centers for people with disabilities. The new law will regulate their operation and encourage the private sector to open more centers for people with special needs,” Khoja added. A license must be obtained before opening.

King Abdullah congratulated Saudis and the Arab and Islamic Ummah on the advent of Ramadan and hoped the holy month would bring greater progress and prosperity to Muslim countries.

The Cabinet approved Fahd Al-Jarallah undersecretary for investigation affairs at the Control and Investigation Board; Muhammad Al-Muqhem director general of public administration at the Control and Investigation Board; Saad Al-Zaid director general of Dar Al-Ifta’s branch office in Makkah; Abdul Hakeem Al-Shuaibi director general of administration and finance at the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution; and Abdullah Al-Hamid assistant undersecretary for expatriate workers affairs at the Labor Ministry.

Excellent news. Unity is foremost for the Ummah. I have always said King Abdullah is a good Muslim Amir for Saudia Arabia despite all criticism I have expressed about Saudia. InshAllah unity will come soon amongst the muslim nations.

It sounds like a toothless talking shop where some good Public Relations takes place. I read somewhere that there are plans to accupy Saudi Arabia at some point in the future and to make the Haramain a UN held protectorate.

Some people are saying that the Western governments want to create a Muslim enemy, to fight against and to have a false cold war with, others are saying that the Bankers in the West want to access the Muslims who live in these countries so that they can turn them into consumers and debtors and to make money from them. We are living through 'interesting' times and we need to be wise and very careful....there are big hidden agendas here.

O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin.

I do not want to get into useless arguments with you or anyone else. I was just saying the meeting being commisioned is just hot air and public relations...they have not been able to act as a unified force in recent history, they have no power so it is just words (toothless).

Muslims should be aware of the big picture the possible reasons and hidden agendas of the non Muslims and why they are creating these rebellions and putting forward the Saudi regime as a possible saviour. I am all for unity of Muslims and would like the Saudi King to succeed in his endevours, I am not being negative just realistic. We should know the plot of the enemies of the Muslims and their tactics and we must not enter into their games and geo-politics blindly.

The Saudi kingdom emerged and flourished during the political defeat and dis*integration of Dar al-Islam. As such, the Saudis regard any revival in the political fortunes of Islam as a threat to them. The Saudis know that their survival depends on the continuation of western domination over the lands and peoples of Islam. To secure this goal, the Saudis promoted a ritualistic copy of Islam designed to keep politics out of religion. This is also the western view of Islam, and the west also realizes that, should political power return to Islam, western hegemony over the greater part of the world would be at an end.

'Thus it is in the common interest of the western protectorate, known as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its western backers to prevent the emergence of Islam in its political role at all costs.
